Can astrology be helpful in any way?

Yes, but mostly as a tool for self-reflection, meaning, and coping, not as a proven way to predict life events.

This study found that people in an astrology course became more certain about self-describing traits and ideas like self-control and perceived luck. Students in psychology or German language courses did not show the same change. It also found that interest in astrology was connected with the number of personal crises people had experienced. So astrology may help some people organize their thoughts, understand themselves, and feel more grounded during difficult moments.

What this does and doesn't show

Feeling more certain about yourself is not the same as the chart being accurate: the study measured confidence, not correctness. The sample was small. The crisis finding from the same study is covered in astrology in difficult times.

Sample: 40 students in introductory astrology, psychology and German language courses.
